CHICAGO — Companies are making packaged baked goods, from countertop boxes with brownie bites to individually wrapped blondies, with convenience stores in mind.

Hayward, Calif.-based Sugar Bowl Bakery has launched new dispenser boxes made with c-stores in mind. The countertop boxes feature brownie bites, duet bites (a madeleine and brownie combo) and madeleines. Each box has 16 individually wrapped brownie bites and duets in their respective boxes, and 12 individually wrapped madeleines.
The suggested retail price is 59 cents per treat.
Jim Buddy’s Protein Donuts is launching in the U.S. and moving its main offices from London to Park City, Utah.
The individually packaged treats have 11 grams of protein and 140 calories. The doughnuts come in Cake Batter and Chocolate flavors.
Reading, Pa.-based Sweet Street sells Manifesto individually wrapped cookies and bars that are made with pure cane sugar, cage-free eggs and sustainably grown chocolates.
The products come in countertop displays that feature blondies, brownies, chocolate chunk cookies and more.
Kansas City, Mo.-based Hostess recently added iced Danish pastries to its lineup of baked goods.
The individually packaged treats come in Iced Berries & Cream Cheese, Cream Cheese and Apple Cinnamon.
Tastykake recently introduced a new single-serve option for its Pecan Swirls. Two-count packages are available for a suggested retail price of $1.89.
The Philadelphia-based company also recently introduced Pound Kake Juniors and Pound Kake Lemon Juniors for a suggested retail price of $1.89.
