BOULDER, Colo. — Good Day Chocolate, known for its “chocolate with benefits” products, is launching a line of CBD chocolates.

The products combine fair-trade chocolate with cannabidiol (CBD) and come in three varieties: Original CBD, Sleep CBD and Calm CBD.

The original CBD is made with 70% fair-trade dark chocolate and 10 milligrams of CBD per piece. Sleep CBD is made with fair-trade milk chocolate and has 10 milligrams of CBD and 1 milligram of melatonin in each piece, and Calm CBD is also made with milk chocolate and contains 10 milligrams of CBD and 12.5 milligrams of amino acid L-theanine.

"We've always strived to make effective, truly functional products that surprise and delight consumers with a delicious taste. This new line of CBD products clearly delivers on that same promise," said Simeon Margolis, co-founder and CEO of Good Day Chocolate. "Each of our three products aim to make the CBD experience more delicious than ever before and offer easily controlled 10-milligram dosing vs. a tinctured oil dropper.”

The products use third-party tested CBD in the form of broad-spectrum hemp extract, which is organically grown at farms in Oregon and Colorado and has no THC, according to the company.

Each bottle contains 30 pieces of chocolate and 300 milligrams of CBD. The original chocolates retail for $59.99 per bottle and the sleep and calm varieties cost $64.99 per bottle.

The products are available on Amazon and GoodDayChocolate.com and will launch in early 2020 at national retailers.

Boulder, Colo.-based Good Day Chocolate was founded in 2012 to use chocolate as a delivery format for vitamins and supplements. Its products include a line of vitamins and supplements for children.
