FINDLAY, Ohio — Marathon Petroleum is activating e-commerce capabilities across its Marathon-branded sites through Stuzo’s Open Commerce suite of digital products.
- Marathon’s Speedway chain of convenience stores stores, now owned by 7-Eleven, is No. 3 on CSP’s 2021 Top 202 ranking of c-stores by store count.
Open Commerce is a cloud-based platform that gives retailers access to a menu of e-commerce capabilities, which can include loyalty, contactless payment, connected car capabilities, voice computing and more.
The petroleum company is bringing its new digital capabilities to market in an effort to help its dealer and distributor network market to a mobile-first customer base, provide its customers with an interactive customer engagement dashboard and establish a digital platform to improve retention.
Philadelphia-based Stuzo aims to help retailers know and activate more customers and data in real-time in an effort to generate more visits, more gallons and bigger baskets. Stuzo’s Open Commerce product suite consists of Activate for loyalty, Transact for contactless commerce and Experience for cross-channel digital storefronts.
Findlay, Ohio-based Marathon Petroleum is an integrated, downstream energy company. Its marketing system includes branded sites across the United States, including Marathon retail outlets.
