Maverik Joins TIO Network

Deploying kiosks in Salt Lake, Boise

SALT LAKE CITY -- Maverik Country Stores Inc. has forged a deal for Info Touch Technologies Corp. to deploy self-serve automated bill payment and financial services touchscreen terminals at 35 select convenience stores in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Boise, Idaho.

The TIO Network provides Maverik patrons with secure and convenient access to real-time bill payments and other financial services. Customers can pay their wireless, utility and cable bills and purchase prepaid products and services with cash.

The companies plan to unveil [image-nocss] additional products and services such as money order, money transfer, prepaid credit and debit cards, check cashing and mobile content. The services will continue to be geared towards the growing underbanked marketplace.

"This is a fantastic opportunity to grow the TIO Network in the Western Intermountain region of United States and furthers our goal to be the top payment network in the country with meaningful operations in every major region," said Hamed Shahbazi, chairman and CEO of Burnaby, B.C.-based Info Touch.

The companies will share revenues generated through transactional revenues from the various TIO based applications.

Salt Lake City-based Maverik operates about 170 convenience stores in seven western states, including Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, and Montana, Utah and Wyoming.

Info Touch, a strategic investment of Hewlett Packard, is building the TIO Network, a national multi-retailer network of financial services kiosks for the nonbanked consumer marketplace in North America. The company leverages its core competencies in self-service bill payment processing, financial services aggregation and automation to create financial viability for its network and its location partners. Info Touch's Premiere (powered by Surfnet) is a software platform for the delivery of automated services such as bill payment, money transfer, digital merchandising, PIN dispensing for prepaid products and services, maps and directions, check cashing and electronic coupons.
