Sheetz Selects Relex for Supply-Chain Optimization

Retailer aims to improve distribution and inventory management

ALTOONA, Pa. — Sheetz will partner with Relex Solutions, a technology provider that specializes in retail planning. The partnership will help position the convenience-store retailer for store growth, supply-chain growth and product marketing opportunities and enable the company to unify aspects of its demand planning processes for an efficient flow of products from suppliers to stores.

Helsinki, Finland-based Relex’s cloud-native Living Retail Platform delivers artificial intelligence across all retail functions. Relex customers leverage enhanced supply-chain visibility to optimizing their space, allocation, workforce, promotion and markdown strategies.

Established in 1952 in Altoona, Pa., Sheetz operates more than 630 store locations throughout Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Ohio and North Carolina. Sheetz provides a menu of made to order (MTO) sandwiches and salads, which are ordered through touch-screen order point terminals. All Sheetz convenience stores are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
