NATO to Update Tobacco Retailers at 2019 Expo

TPE Show open for retailer registration

LAS VEGAS As the Tobacco Plus Expo (TPE) opens its registration to retailers for the Feb. 11-13, 2019, event, officials with the tobacco-retailing organization NATO (National Association of Tobacco Outlets) have announced the organization's roster of industry update sessions planned for the first day of the convention and trade show.

TPE officials recently opened registration to retailers wanting to meet with vendors and view the latest in traditional cigarettes, vaping and other tobacco products (OTP) at the event, held annually at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Scheduled for Feb. 11, the NATO educational sessions will range in topics from market trends to a Wall Street update. Speakers will include officials from Management Science Associates, Pittsburgh, and Wells Fargo Securities, New York.

TPE officials also announced a keynote speaker: Michael Herklots, vice president of retail and brand development for Nat Sherman, New York. He will speak Feb. 12, leading a session titled “How to Merchandise, Market and Promote in a New FDA Landscape.” He will share tips and guidance on best practices on marketing and promotion in a time of heavy regulation.

Another educational session will focus on managing core tobacco products at convenience stores and will feature a retailer panel led by the Chicago-based CSP editorial team.

The TPE show brings together top brands and buyers from the premium tobacco, tobacco-related, vapor and alternative industries and offers newly expanded show-floor times, TPE officials said.
