BYRON CENTER, Mich. -- At 8,200 square feet, new J&H Family Store locations are more than convenience stores. Sure, they're a place to fuel up and get in and out quickly with a drink or snack. "We strive to find ways to support the communities that support us," says Misty Steinhauer, who heads up purchasing and retail store branding for the Wyoming, Mich.-based chain of 50 convenience stores.
