Sheetz Introduces R-T-D Iced Lattes

Chain also expanding Sheetz Bros. Coffeez to all stores

ALTOONA, Pa. -- Sheetz Inc. has introduced ready-to-drink Sheetz Bros. Coffeez 16-oz. Mocha and Vanilla Iced Lattes, available in the cooler section at all Sheetz locations.

Sheetz, Inc. is always striving to offer quality convenience at a great value to customers and the new iced lattes do just that at anywhere from 30 cents to 50 cents less than a competitor's smaller serving, said Louie Sheetz, executive vice president of marketing for Sheetz. Based on sales volume, the new Sheetz Bros. Coffeez Iced Lattes are already meeting the demands of our on-the-go [image-nocss] customer.

The ready-to-drink coffee market in the United States has grown 17% over the last four years, while ready-to-drink coffee revenues have increased 24%, according to the Altoona, Pa.-based retailer, citing BevNet.com.

In addition to the new Iced Lattes available at all Sheetz locations, the chain also offers Sheetz Bros. Coffeez, a full-service espresso bar that features lattes, espressos, cappuccinos, frozen fruit smoothies and more made by trained baristas, 24 hours a day. The Sheetz Bros. Coffeez espresso bar is currently available at 175 Sheetz locations and within the next year, all Sheetz customers can expect Sheetz Bros. Coffeez at their favorite location.

Sheetz had more than $3.8 billion in revenue for 2006 and more than 11,000 employees. It operates 332 convenience locations throughout Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, Virginia, Ohio and North Carolina.
