Icelandic Glacial Chills in Canada

Signs distribution agreement with Husky Energy

OLFUS, Iceland -- Icelandic Glacial natural spring water continues to demonstrate steady growth across North America, signing a new listing agreement with the retail division of one of Canada's leading energy companies, Husky Energy Inc. Effective April 2009, Icelandic Glacial 500 milliliter and one-liter bottles will be available at participating Husky and Mohawk branded retail outlets across Western Canada and Ontario.

"We are extremely pleased to be adding such a well established chain like Husky to our portfolio of accounts," said Raphael Davis, national sales manager [image-nocss] for Icelandic Glacial Canada. "Even though Icelandic Glacial is relatively new to the Canadian market, we've already experienced tremendous consumer response and appreciation of our brands' unique attributes. Our purity, stylish bottle design and industry-leading green credentials have clearly struck a chord with the environmentally conscious Canadian consumer."

Securing availability with the widespread Husky and Mohawk branded retail outlets gives Icelandic Glacial even greater consumer reach across the region.

As the world's first CarbonNeutral-certified bottled spring water for both product and operations, Icelandic Glacial delivers a water with a "net zero" carbon footprint, it said.

Icelandic Glacial is the product of Icelandic Water Holdings ehf, located in Olfus, Iceland. The company is an environmental pioneer in the industry, using natural green energy in the form of geothermal and hydroelectric power to produce its water. The source of Icelandic Glacial is the Olfus Spring, a naturally replenished catchment zone formed during a volcanic eruption more than 4,500 years ago.

Icelandic Glacial was named "Best Water of 2007" by industry experts BevNET, and also received accolades for the "Best Sustainability Initiative" at the 2007 BottledWaterWorld awards, the company said.

Husky Energy is based in Calgary, Alberta.
