BP's ampm Spices Up Burrito Lineup

Launches Veggie Adobo, Southwest Chicken varieties

LA PALMA, Calif. -- Convenience retailer ampm has introduced a new flavor to its burrito selection. The new Veggie Adobo Burrito is now available at participating ampm locations.

"Our Veggie Adobo Burrito is a food first for ampm, and it's something we're thrilled to be able to offer our customers," said ampm president Bill Fry. We're always looking for exciting and innovative ways to expand our food offer, and we're sure an all-vegetarian burrito will be a big hit."

The Veggie Adobo Burrito is packed with black and pinto beans, red and green bell peppers with a crunchy [image-nocss] texture, corn, potatoes, three cheeses and chipotle seasoning.

"Together with the Veggie Adobo Burrito, we've also introduced a new Southwest Chicken flavor to our ampm burrito family," Fry added. Other ampm proprietary burritos include Beef Ranchero, Cilantro Chicken and two breakfast burritos; Chorizo Con Papas and The Works.

All ampm-branded burritos, including the new Veggie Adobo and Southwest Chicken, are currently available at participating ampm locations at a special introductory price of 2 for $3.

The ampm brand was founded in 1978 in Southern California by ARCO. The ampm brand has been recognized in the Franchise Times "Top 200" and Entrepreneur's "Franchise 500." ARCO-branded ampm stores are currently found in California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington and Arizona; BP-branded ampm stores are located in Chicago, Orlando, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Atlanta. There are also more than 1,500 stores in Brazil and Japan.
