CASHIERS, N.C. -- Cashiers Exxon Convenience Store in Cashiers, N.C., in the Blue Ridge Mountains is the newest home to a Chester's franchise, convenience-focused fried chicken foodservice company Chester's International LLC said.
"We believe fresh prepared foods are the future of success for convenience stores," said William Smith, operator of the Cashiers Exxon. "Adding Chester's to our existing food concepts will allow us to strengthen our position of becoming a food destination."
The Cashiers Chester's celebrated its grand opening on Friday, June 20. Chester [image-nocss] the Chicken was on hand to help with the ribbon cutting ceremony and took grand opening photos with customers and employees.
The Cashiers Exxon is co-branded with Piccadilly Pizza and Mayfield Ice Cream and will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner offering Chester's signature menu options including Chester's fried bone-in chicken, chicken tenders, potato wedges and biscuits. The newest Chester's will also offer both dine-in and carryout options as well as catering trays.
"We are proud to welcome Cashiers Exxon into the Chester's family and are looking forward to opening another store in North Carolina," said Kathryn Kudulis, brand manager at Birmingham, Ala.-based Chester's International.
Chester's International is a provider of quick-serve restaurant (QSR) concepts with more than 1,500 Chester Fried licensed and Chester's franchised locations. Along with it products, it offers flexible size and store layout options, training and support.
