Kum & Go Makes Debut in Mead, Colo.

Tedeschi opens new store in Fitchburg, Mass.
WEST DES MOINES, Iowa -- Kum & Go LC has opened a new convenience store in Mead, Colo. The 3,400-square-foot store took only 95 days to construct and is located at Interstate 25 and Highway 66. This is the first location in the Mead area and the 34th store in the state of Colorado, including new locations in Loveland, Brighton and Dacono that opened earlier this year.

The new store features 16 conventional fueling stations, offering unleaded, unleaded plus, premium, E85 and diesel fuels.

Kum & Go stores also feature a wide selection of food and beverage products, [image-nocss] including Java Ridge Premium Coffee, Go Fresh Market Sandwiches and Nuclear energy drinks. The company also offers potato chips, bottled water, cookies and candy under the Hiland brand name.

As part of Kum & Go's commitment to developing environmentally-friendly building and operating practices, the new Mead store integrates heavily insulated glass, LED cooler door lights and energy-efficient coolers into its energy-efficient design.

"The store in Mead has already surpassed our expectations in the first month open; we could not be more pleased. We love Front Range community and our associates are first-rate, so I truly believe this is going to be a very successful Kum & Go location for us," said Phil Hoey, Kum & Go Colorado district supervisor.

The family-owned company, based in West Des Moines, Iowa, has more than 425 c-stores in 11 states (Iowa, Arkansas, Colorado, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota and Wyoming).

Separately, Tedeschi Food Shops Inc. has opened a new convenience outlet in Fitchburg, Mass.Rockland, Mass.-based Tedeschi Food Shops is a family-owned and -operated c-store chain that operates 188 locations throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Connecticut. Proprietary brands include TD's Deli and TD's Express, Tedeschi Select and Tedeschi Fuel.
