Sheetz Adds Woodward Township, Pa., Store

Makes donation to Special Olympics of Pennsylvania
ALTOONA, Pa. -- Sheetz is opening its first new store in Woodward Township, in Lycoming County, Pa., near Jersey Shore. Doors officially opened to customers yesterday afternoon when employees hosted a grand-opening celebration with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

"We are very excited to be opening another store in Lycoming County," said Stan Sheetz, president and CEO, Sheetz, Inc. "Our stores in nearby Williamsport do very well and customers there have been very loyal. We can't wait to begin serving a new group of people in Jersey Shore."

The 5,000 square-foot facility [image-nocss] will offer fresh food items like the MTGo! and Shweetz Bakery lines of sandwiches, wraps, donuts and muffins, along with the signature Made-To-Order (MTO) line of Angus beef burgers, premium grilled chicken sandwiches, freshly made salads, french fries, onion rings and more.

Sheetz Bros. Coffeez, a full-service espresso and smoothie bar staffed by a trained barista is available at the new store. Customers can order handmade specialty coffee drinks including lattes, cappuccinos and mochashot, frozen or iced.

"Sheetz has a legacy of innovation, customer focus and employee development," Sheetz said. "The company's mission today is on meeting the needs of customers on the go by providing fast and friendly service, quality products in clean and convenient locations."

Sheetz said it is proud of its tradition of giving back to the communities in which it operates. Especially important to the organization is finding ways to be involved with today's young people. As part of today's celebration, the company will make a donation to Special Olympics of Pennsylvania. Sheetz has been a proud supporter of Special Olympics since 1992, making monetary and product contributions as well as providing event volunteers.

In other company news, Sheetz and the First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO) officially announced the launch of a new relationship and productthe Sheetz Platinum Edition Visa Card,, said Stephen F. Added Eulie, "This new relationship is beneficial for both companies. Sheetz will be able to provide its customer base with an expanded rewards program, while upholding its commitment to top-notch products and service. FNBO will be able to expand its reach and provide a valuable financial service to Sheetz customers."

The Sheetz Visa card will offer cardholders 8 points for every $1 spent at Sheetz Stores for the first 3 billing cycles, 3 points for every $1 spent at Sheetz stores after that, and 1 point for every $1 spent everywhere else. Cardholders will be able to redeem their points for Sheetz Gift Cards, merchandise, travel and more.

Existing Sheetz credit cardholders will need to visit a Sheetz location or go to www.sheetzcreditcard.com to apply for the new Sheetz Visa Card in order to receive these new benefits.
