Standex Names Morrow President of Cooking Solutions Division

Sebastianelli appointed VP sales, marketing at APW Wyott

DALLAS -- Standex International Corp. has appointed E.J. Morrow as president of the Cooking Solutions division of Standex's Food Service Equipment Group, effective September 30. Morrow, 49, succeeds Hylton Jonas, who is retiring from the company.

"E.J. joins Standex at an exciting time for the Food Service Equipment Group," said group vice president John Abbott. "We are focused on driving market share gains by leveraging sales synergies and customer relationships across both our refrigeration and cooking solutions businesses, while developing products for new market segments. E.J.'s business [image-nocss] development expertise and foodservice equipment background will make him a strong asset as we continue to expand our reach by introducing innovative solutions to the market."

Prior to joining Standex, Morrow served as vice president of business development at Unified Brands, an operating company of Dover Corp. Unified Brands and its Groen, Randell, Avtec and CapKold product lines have leading industry positions in cooking equipment, cook-chill production systems, custom fabrication, foodservice refrigeration, ventilation and conveyor systems. Before that, he served in a variety of executive positions at Distribution America and Pursell Industries. In addition, he has 13 years of sales and marketing with Stanley Works.

Standex's Cooking Solutions Group was formed during Jonas's tenure and is comprised of the company's BKI, APW Wyott, Bakers Pride and BevLes business units. Jonas has led the division since January 2007, when he and his partners sold the APW Wyott group of companies to Standex.

"Hylton made a commitment to see the merger through, and now thanks to the hard work of the entire team, our Cooking Solutions Group has grown in scale and enhanced its market position. We thank Hylton for his service and wish him health and happiness upon his retirement," said Abbott.

Meanwhile, David Sebastianelli was recently appointed to the position of vice president of sales and marketing at APW Wyott. He comes to APW Wyott with more than 17 years in the foodservice industry, 11 with the Vollrath Co.; where he was the vice president of national accounts. More recently, he was the vice president of sales at Cardinal International.

The Food Service Equipment Group is a broadline manufacturer of commercial foodservice equipment, including walk-in coolers and freezers, refrigerated, non-refrigerated and hot display cabinets and storage systems, commercial ovens, rotisseries and cooking equipment, bakery and deli display cases, hot food counter-top products, patient feeding systems, rotary vane pumps and stainless steel fabrication, millwork and solid surface stonework. The majority of the FSEG businesses are grouped into two divisions, Standex Cooking Solutions Group and Standex Refrigerated Solutions Group. FSEG enjoys market leadership positions and strong brand recognition in the foodservice industry with each of its eight leadership companies: American Foodservice, APW Wyott, Bakers Pride, BKI, Federal Industries, Kool Star, Master-Bilt, Nor-Lake Inc. and Procon.

APW Wyott is a leading source of foodservice equipment solutions.
