TA Honors Vets Who Drive Trucks with Free Meals on Veterans Day

Recognizing those who protect America and keep America moving

WESTLAKE, Ohio -- TravelCenters of America, operator of TA and Petro Stopping Centers travel centers, is inviting all truck drivers who are also veterans of the U.S. armed services to enjoy a complimentary meal on Veteran's Day, Nov. 11, at any participating TA and Petro sit-down restaurant across the United States.

TA and Petro will be honoring the service and sacrifice of the men and women who have valiantly fought for our country. Veteran's Day meals can be enjoyed at more than 170 participating Iron Skillet, Country Pride and other full-service, home-style restaurants within TA and Petro Stopping Centers.

"We understand that veterans have sacrificed their personal and family time by being in the armed forces, and those who are also drivers, do the same each and every day they are on the road," said Tom O'Brien, president and CEO of TravelCenters. "Our goal is to honor veterans who are also drivers by recognizing them for their contributions in both protecting America and for keeping America moving each day they drive."

On Nov. 11, anyone who is a veteran of the armed forces and holds a commercial drivers license (CDL) can receive a complimentary meal of their choice (up to a $15 value) by showing proof of service to their server prior to ordering their meal. Proof of service includes U.S. Uniform Services Retired ID Card; Veterans Organization Card; photograph in uniform; DD214; or citation or commendation.
