Thorntons Rollout in Volo

Retailer opens 164th store with location in northern Illinois
VOLO, Ill. -- Thorntons Inc. has announced the grand opening of its newest store location, in Volo, Ill. With the addition of this location, Thorntons will operate 164 stores throughout Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Tennessee and Ohio.

Customers can look forward to a clean and friendly environment with foods such as fresh sandwiches, salads, fruit and more. The new store features a redesigned look with a greater focus on fresh food, fountain drinks and hot beverages. This includes Thorntons' roller grill bar design featuring items such as hot dogs, corndogs and more. It offers [image-nocss] a large variety of hot, cold and frozen beverages that are made with 100% filtered water. It offers coffee and frozen Icee flavors.

And it has top-quality products at grocery store sizes, competitive prices, as well as 100% guaranteed fuel.

Many promotions will take place in the first 30 days following the grand re-opening celebration.

Customers can expect free 32-oz. fountain drinks, free 20-oz. coffee, as well as many Buy 1 Get 1 Free specials. Beginning on Saturday, November 27, there will be several "doorbuster" giveaways that include free RedBox DVD rental coupons, free two-liter soda, Thorntons coffee mugs and more.

This new store will also offer the environmentally friendly E85 (85% ethanol, 15% gasoline) Flex Fuel. Thorntons has 27 locations throughout the company with E85 Flex Fuel and plans to expand this product to additional stores in the future.
