The distribution center will open Jan. 2, 2017, and will initially serve 750 customers in the Kentucky, Tennessee and southern Indiana and Ohio markets.

“We are moving full-speed ahead to expand in the Mid-South with the same focus we have always had, delivering the best solutions and service to our customers. We are thrilled about the expanded service capabilities and efficiencies this new distribution center will provide our customers. We are actively recruiting an additional 250 Eby-Brown ‘family’ members to staff our new facility,” said Thomas Wake, co-president of Eby-Brown.

Eby-Brown recently expanded their network East with the acquisition of West Mifflin, Pa.-based Liberty USA, a $550 million supplier to convenience-store retailers.

Naperville, Ill.-based Eby-Brown, with more than $5.5 billion in revenue, is the largest family owned, wholesale consumer products distributor in the convenience-store industry, offering programs, technology and variety of product and foodservice solutions. Eby-Brown owns and operates eight distribution centers throughout the Midwest, Mid-South, Southeast and Northeast and on the East Coast.
