Heetland Heads Up New NACS Supplier Board

Jones of S&D Coffee joins Kraft exec as chair-elect

ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- Brad Heetland, region vice president for Kraft Foods Global Inc., leads the 2008-09 NACS Supplier Board for the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS). In addition, Jennie Jones, vice president/director of marketing convenience stores for S&D Coffee Inc., was named chair-elect of the NACS Supplier Board and will succeed Heetland as chair for 2009-10. As chair and chair-elect of the NACS Supplier Board, Heetland and Jones also serve as members of the NACS Board of Directors.

Heetland has served in a number of leadership positions in his 28 years with Kraft. [image-nocss] Currently, his responsibilities include managing all segments of Kraft 's business for c-store national account sales.

Jones began her career in the convenience store industry with the Southland Corp., holding various positions in purchasing, sales and marketing and working extensively with the 7-Eleven Franchise Coalition. She also held positions at Fas Mart Convenience Stores and Crown Central. Jones is a founding member of the Network of Executive Women (NEW).

Also elected as to the five-member NACS Supplier Board leadership team as vice chairpersons were Scott Hill, vice president of c-stores channel for Jack Link 's Beef Jerky; Tom Joyce, vice president of customer industry affairs for The Hershey Co.; and Rich Libonate, general manager of retail sales for The FRS Co.

In addition, four new members were elected to the NACS Supplier Board: Chuck Bradley, director of national sales, convenience and emerging, for PepsiCo Inc.; Bill Goodwin, CEO of GoodWest Industries; Bob Sears, director of trade relations for Philip Morris USA Inc.; and Brian Wright, managing partner of Executive Leadership Solutions Inc.

The NACS Supplier Board is comprised of individuals from NACS supplier member companies that represent different product and service categories in the c-store industry. Board members are nominated by the Supplier Board Nominating Committee and elected by the board.
