BP Enticing Customers With Ultimate College Football Experience

Retailer participating in more than 40 college football tailgate events for BP Driver Rewards

CHICAGO -- BP Products North America has launched a series of Fan Fest Tailgates from now through Nov. 30 at more than 40 college campuses across the country to support its Driver Rewards program. Fans can take part in games such as "bags" and spin the wheel on an iPad to win BP gift cards and other prizes.

Street teams will also distribute Driver Rewards cards to attendees and help them register for the program on the spot, giving drivers a chance to save instantly on their next BP visit.

"Football season is a great time of year, so we are really thrilled to contribute to fans' college football experience with 'Fan Fest Tailgates'," said Jo Brecknock, BP director of brand and communications. "By registering for BP Driver Rewards, fans can save at the pump while traveling to watch their favorite team."

After games, street teams will move to local BP stations near stadiums to sign up drivers and encourage them to register for the Ultimate College Football Sweepstakes sponsored by Sports Illustrated. The Ultimate College Football Sweepstakes offers BP Drivers Rewards members the chance to win two tickets to a 2013 or 2014 regular season college football game of their choice, along with hotel accommodations for two nights and three days, and a $250 BP gift card. The sweepstakes is running from Oct. 7 to Nov. 30, with 10 winners to be announced on Dec. 16. Consumers must be a BP Driver Rewards member and least 18 years old to enter the sweepstakes.

The BP Driver Rewards Program allows consumers to earn rewards on quality fuel purchases at participating BP stations.
