C.N. Brown Achieves World Peace

For one night, anyway, at MDA fundraiser

SOUTH PARIS, Maine -- On Feb. 2, 2008, C.N. Brown Co. held its 17th annual Miracle Ball in South Portland, Maine. This year's theme invited guests to attend as world leaders or ambassadors from countries all over the world including Japan, Cuba, Thailand, India, Russia and more. The event raised funds of the Maine Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) community.

"We raised a great amount of international currency, achieved world peace and all for a good cause," said Jinger Duryea, president of C.N. Brown.

Pauline Cormier, district director of the MDA, commented, "The Muscular Dystrophy [image-nocss] Association is honored to be affiliated with C.N. Brown. Year after year, the people of C.N. Brown continue to make miracles for those affected by neuromuscular disease here in Maine. The annual Miracle Ball is an example of the extraordinary support and dedication C.N. Brown provides to MDA, and for that we're deeply grateful."

South Paris, Maine-based C.N. Brown operates 86 Big Apple Food Store convenience outlets throughout New England. It also operates 10 car washes and sells heating oil.
