Country Store Teams Up With U-Haul

Retailer adds rental trucks, services, supplies
WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Anjum and Shaeza Khawaja, owners of the County Store in Westfield, Mass., recently added U-Haul truck and trailer rentals to the convenience store they began operating at the beginning of this year.

Families needing moving services now will have increased convenience and availability of services.

The Country Store can now offer its customers a variety of moving equipment and supplies designed specifically for moving household furnishings, including moving vans, open trailers, closed trailers, furniture pads, appliance dollies, furniture dollies, [image-nocss] tow dollies and auto transports.

It also will offer items to protect their customers' belongings and make moving easier, such as heavy-duty boxes, which are made of up to 90% recycled content and are available in a variety of sizes.

The Khawaja "wanted the challenge of becoming a U-Haul dealer and making it a successful business venture," they said.

"U-Haul is proud to be partnering with a quality independent business such as Country Store," said Matthew Pepin, president of U-Haul Co. of Western Massachusetts and Vermont. "Anjum and Shaeza are a great example of the type of successful business relationship U-Haul has established in order to build and maintain a strong network of more than 15,000 independent dealers across North America."

With a network of more than 15,800 locations in all 50 states and 10 Canadian provinces, U-Haul's fleet to grow to approximately 101,000 trucks, 76,000 trailers and 34,000 towing devices.
