"The Fuel Rewards program has been very well-received by our customers," said Ron Dennis, president and COO of Farm Fresh. "We are excited that all stores will now be participating, giving all of our customers the opportunity to save on their fuel purchases. Since 2006, [image-nocss] the program has saved our customers over $1.5 million."
All participating items are marked with a tag with an image of a gasoline nozzle, indicating the discount per gallon that the customer will receive if he or she purchases the item. Discount rates start at 1 cent per gallon and can go as high as 15 cents per gallon. For example, Pam Cooking Spray carries a 2-cent discount per gallon and a 14-lb. bag of Scoop Away Cat Litter saves customers 8 cents per gallon when purchased.
Additionally, a list of participating items and the corresponding discount can be found on the Farm Fresh website, www.farmfreshsupermarkets.com, under the "Specials & Savings" tab.
The Fuel Rewards program allows customers to scan up to 10 discount tickets per fuel transaction for up to 15 gallons. If any items in a customer's purchase qualify for a discount, a special receipt will print out with a barcode which is then scanned at the pump to reflect the appropriate discount. If a customer earns multiple tickets within a 21-day period, he or she may combine the discount tickets to lower the price of fuel significantly on one visit to the fuel pumps. Discount tickets are one-time use only and expire after 21 days.
"Our customers are savvy shoppers and shopping for items with the Fuel Rewards discount, helps them to save money," said Dennis "One of our customers recently paid 99 cents per gallon for gas in Franklin by shopping specifically for items marked with the Fuel Rewards discount."
Fuel Rewards will not be offered at the Farm Fresh Pharmacy located inside Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters. The Fuel Rewards program began in 2002.
