Buying group joins energy-industry recruiter program
FORT MYERS, Fla. & LISLE, Ill. -- Haskel Thompson & Associates LLC has welcomed Royal Buying Group Inc. (RBG) into its Strategic Alliance Program. RBG is a national organization dedicated to maximizing sales and profitability of convenience stores, petroleum locations, college book stores, truckstops/travel plaza centers, auto repair facilities, drug stores, tobacco outlets and liquor stores.

Its core service capabilities include negotiating with regional and national suppliers for impactful and competitive sales and marketing programs and providing category management [image-nocss] expertise, marketing support and customer service support for its membership.

Headquartered in Lisle, Ill., RBG represents approximately 6,000 convenience locations nationwide.

In other company news, RBG recently announced the recipients of the 2009 Royal Buying Group education scholarships. It presented $1,000 scholarships at the 2010 RBG Annual Programs Kick-Off Reception. The scholarship amounts were generated from the Royal Buying Group annual golf outing held at Ruffled Feathers Golf Club last September.

The first recipient, Alexandra Park is currently a senior at Rolling Meadows High School and is enrolled to attend The University of Illinois in August. Alex's parents, William and Mary Park own WJP Citgo Inc. in Mt. Prospect, Ill., and have been part of RBG since 2004. The second recipient, Brittany Kurtenbach is a freshman at the University of Sioux Falls and is currently double majoring in music and theatre. Brittany's father, Joel Kurtenbach, owns Gastop LLC and Gastop Two LLC location in Gillette, Wyo., and has been part of RBG since 2004.

The Royal Buying Group Scholarship Program is open to eligible candidates that are high school seniors or graduates who plan to or are enrolled at an accredited two or four-year college or University in the United States that will lead to an academic degree. Eligible candidates include Royal Buying Group members and their children. The 2010 Royal Buying Group education scholarship program enrollment will be open beginning on Oct. 1, 2010.
