Krause to Chair Board

Will lead Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines
WEST DES MOINES, Iowa -- Kum & Go LC, one of the nation's leading convenience store chains, has announced that Kyle J. Krausehas beenelected to serve as chair of the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines board of directors. Krause, president and CEO of Kum & Go, has served as co-vice chair of the Community Foundation since 2006 and chairs its governance and nominating committee. Krause will serve as board chair through December 2010. He succeeds G. David Hurd.

"I am honored to be elected as the chair of the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines, an organization [image-nocss] I have been involved with for almost a decade. Past chairs have made amazing strides managing and growing assets for the Community Foundation, and I hope to follow their lead," said Krause. "I have a great president, Barry Griswell, and board to help the Community Foundation carry on the quest to improve our quality of life in the Greater Des Moines area."

The Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines works to improve quality of life for all by connecting donors with their passions, fostering links between community organizations and convening local leaders to advance the common good.
