KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Pilot Flying J has launched its first gasoline discount program for motorists, and the money-saving offer is available to customers visiting the company's 63 locations in Tennessee.
From Jan. 8 to March 31, the Knoxville-based company is offering special gasoline savings for customers across its home state of Tennessee. While Pilot Flying J's MyRewards loyalty program is available across the United States and Canada and offers discounts on retail and restaurant purchases, this trial promotion is the first opportunity for customers to earn discounts on gasoline, the company said.

We invite everyone to enjoy a cup of our delicious, premium coffee blends or a refreshing fountain drink and then enjoy the rewards at the gas pump. Each time Tennessee customers purchase a fountain drink or hot beverage from a Pilot Flying J location and swipe their MyRewards card at checkout, they will earn three cents off per gallon of gasoline at their next fillup. To redeem the discount, customers swipe their MyRewards card at the gasoline pump when prompted, and it automatically deducts the discount.
Discounts will add up with each drink purchase, and customers can redeem up to $1 off each gallon of gasoline per purchase. All MyRewards Preferred Customer cardholders are eligible, and they can earn discounts at any Pilot Travel Center, Flying J Travel Plaza or Pilot Food Mart in the state of Tennessee. They can redeem the gasoline discount at any participating Pilot or Flying J location nationwide.
Customers must have a registered Pilot Flying J "Preferred Customer" MyRewards card to participate. "Preferred Customer" cards are available for motorists purchasing gasoline, and the discount is available to gasoline-purchasing customers in Tennessee. Motorists can pick up cards in Pilot and Flying J locations, and they can complete registration in the store or online.
Eligible drink purchases include any fountain drink including sodas and iced drinks or any hot beverage from Pilot Flying J's selection of premium coffee, cappuccino and tea. Any bottled or canned drinks from the cooler are ineligible.
Up to $1 off per gallon of gas will be automatically deducted when customers swipe their card at the pump, depending on the discount they have earned. For customers who earn more than $1 off per gallon, they can use the remaining discount the next time they refuel.
Cardholders have until April 30 to redeem their gasoline discounts.
Pilot Flying J has more than 650 retail locations and is the largest operator of travel centers and travel plazas in North America.
