Porter promoted at RBG

Will lead vendors, business development

LISLE, Ill. -- Royal Buying Group Inc. (RBG) announced that Sharon Porter, RBG 's director of business development, has been promoted to director of vendors & business development.Porter joined RBG in 2003 and developed the company 's business development department, including responsibility for all field merchandising activities.

Porter 's previous employment includes more than 20 years of convenience-store industry experience.She has managed multiple store locations for Southland Corp. and provided operations management for independent c-store and retail locations under the Shell, [image-nocss] Amoco, Dunkin Donuts and CITGO brands.

Porter attended Elmhurst College, attaining a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing.She also maintains a foodservice sanitation certification.

Porter takes over for Christine Brown, RBG 's previous director of vendors. Brown worked for RBG for more than nine years. Her new position is marketing manager for Natural Snacks LLC, a natural & organic snacks company based in Berkeley, Calif.

“We wish Christine the best of luck in her new endeavor,” said Zielinski.
