Public Media Works Places DVD, Game Kiosk at LA 76 Station

First rollout to targeted 7,000 oil company c-store sites
SAUSALITO, Calif. -- Public Media Works Inc. (PMW) and its wholly owned subsidiary, EntertainmentXpress Inc., have announced a placement agreement with Steve Speckman, the owner of a ConocoPhillips 76 filling station in Los Angeles, that was recently converted by Modular Conversions LLC to include a convenience store at its location that opened for business last year.

PMW recently announced an agreement with Modular Conversions to place up to 7,000 DVD movie and game kiosks in new convenience stores as major oil company-sponsored gas station conversions are completed over [image-nocss] the next three years across the U.S. The initial phase includes full funding for the installation of up to 1,500 EntertainmentXpress kiosks to be placed in prime West Coast targeted locations.

Modular Conversions has also obtained financing for EntertainmentXpress kiosks to be placed in existing c-stores nationwide. The ConocoPhillips 76 location in LA marks the first of an ongoing planned rollout of kiosks through the partnership of PMW and Modular Conversions.

"We are in conversation with several major oil brands about converting high-traffic gas stations to c-stores where EntertainmentXpress kiosks are part of the program. We have also made arrangements for full financing for kiosks to be placed in existing convenience store locations for gas stations and other non-oil company convenience stores. Steve's ConocoPhillips 76 location is an example of one of our conversions. Stay tuned for more announcements to come in the near future," said Jack Neal, the COO of Modular Conversions.

According to 76 owner Steve Speckman, adding the EntertainmentXpress DVD kiosk is an opportunity to add another profit center into his store: "I believe the DVD movie and game entertainment kiosk will be well received by my current customer base and draw new customers, as well. I will get a share of the revenue from DVD rental and sales and from advertising that is placed on the 3D kiosk screen. It takes up a small footprint and my expectation is that the kiosk will bring in a higher gross profit than any other center in my store. Plus it gives my customer base a pleasant and convenient experience."

Bill Zabit, President of PMW, said, "Our kiosk placement in the ConocoPhillips 76 convenience store in LA marks the beginning of our planned national rollout in high-volume locations through our partnership with Modular Conversions. And very importantly, MC has arranged for full financing of our kiosks in both qualifying conversion projects and existing convenience stores nationwide... for both filling stations and standalone stores," stated

EntertainmentXpress, a division of Sausalito, Calif.-based PMW, provides a convenient way for consumers to buy or rent movies, games and other entertainment media through kiosks located in quick-serve food locations, grocery stores and other high-traffic and public venues. The company's business plan also includes an out-of-home advertising model with onboard 3D screens (no glasses required) in kiosks that provide its retail partners an opportunity to share in ad revenue as well as in DVD rental and sales revenue.

Features intended to differentiate EntertainmentXpress in the marketplace are expected to include a broader variety of digital product offerings over time, retail partner branded kiosks, a fully integrated solution for in-store advertising, and kiosks designed to be converted into "media filling stations" to a variety of digital storage devices.

Riverside, Calif.-based MC, a construction management services firm working with major oil companies, is a specialist in a modular approach to bay conversions for high-traffic filling stations.
