Rutter's Presents $25,000 to Red Cross

Donation will fund new youth safety program

YORK, Pa. -- Rutter's Children's Charities, the charitable arm of the Rutter's Cos., recently presented a check for $25,000 to the American Red Cross, York County chapter.

With the funds, the chapter is providing training in fire, water and bicycle safety, first aid, disease prevention and emergency preparedness to 1,500 youths between the ages of 8 and 12, the company said.

Family-owned and third-generation-managed, the Rutter's Cos. comprise Rutter's Farm Stores, Rutter's Dairy and M&G Realty, a real-estate holding company. [image-nocss] The companies employ more than 800 people in central Pennsylvania.
