TA Inks Agreement with Voyager Fleet Systems

Travel center chain also acquires Salina, Kansas, site

WESTLAKE, Ohio -- TravelCenters of America LLC has announced that it has reached an agreement with U.S. Bank to accept the Voyager Fleet Systems fuel payment card. The agreement will allow fleet drivers who hold a Voyager card to make fuel purchases at TA and Petro Stopping Centers locations nationally, including at all diesel dispensers, as well as all branded and unbranded gasoline dispensers at all locations.

Voyager Fleet Systems, a subsidiary of U.S. Bank, manages fueling transaction data for fleets of all sizes. The Voyager card is used by many federal, state and local [image-nocss] government agencies, including numerous armed forces bases and the U.S. Postal Service.

In other news, TA, owner of Petro Stopping Centers, has completed its planned acquisition and opening of the newest Petro travel center at Exit 252 off I-70 in Salina, Kansas.

"We were very happy to have the chance to buy this location and bring it back to the Petro family," said Tom O'Brien, president and CEO of TA. "Salina is located near the middle of the great state of Kansas, with other TA and Petro sites at east and west ends. Re-opening this facility as a Petro allows us to provide drivers opportunities to optimize their business by using full-service travel centers across the entire Kansas stretch of I-70."

The Salina site had been operated by a franchisee as a Petro until earlier in 2011 when the related franchise agreement expired. The Salina location is the 65th Petro site, and the 230th in the combined TA and Petro chain.

TravelCenters of America, headquartered in Westlake, Ohio, is a leading national chain of travel centers in 41 states and Canada under the TravelCenters of America and Petro brands.
