J&J Snack Foods Promotes Law

Also introduces Caring with Cookies! program

PENNSAUKEN, N.J. -- J&J Snack Foods Corp. has promoted Jerry Law to senior vice president of western operations. In this role, Law will continue to head up all operations and supply channels for J&J Snack Foods' operations west of Missouri. This territory includes J&J Snack Foods' plants and operations in Vernon, Calif., Daddy Rays Fig and Fruit Bar facilities in Moscow Mills, Mo., and the Fruit-A-Freeze Frozen Fruit Bar plant in Norwalk, Calif. He will also continue to manage western foodservice and bakery sales.

Law joined J&J Snack Foods, working in the [image-nocss] Pennsauken, N.J., pretzel plant, in 1992 as an intern. He rose rapidly through the ranks before being transferred to California, later being promoted to vice president/general manager of Vernon bakery operations.

"Jerry has served the company with increasing distinction and excellence. His current position is reflective of my confidence in his leadership, team development and work ethic," said Gerry Shreiber, J&J Snack Foods' president/CEO.

J&J Snack Foods just completed its 37th year of continuous sales growth, it said.

In other company news, J&J Snack Foods has introduced a cause marketing program, Caring with Cookies!. April is Global Child Nutrition Month, and this year J&J Snack Foods has joined forces with the School Nutrition Association (SNA) and the Global Child Nutrition Foundation (GCNF) to help raise funds to fight global hunger.

The Caring with Cookies! program focuses on bringing much-needed attention and financial contribution to this global epidemic. Schools (K-12) that sign up for this promotion will receive a Caring with Cookies! marketing kit for every 10 cases of featured product purchased. Each marketing kit includes one collection box for student participation and donation, one Caring with Cookies! poster for their cafeteria and 1,000 Caring with Cookies! Cookie Sleeves.
