LaSalle Expands Ice Cream Distribution

Will reach c-stores in N.J, Pa., Chicago, more

NEW YORK -- LaSalle Brands Corp. has announced a major expansion of distribution of its packaged super-premium ice creams as well as the launch of a new line of super-premium ice cream novelty products.

Currently distributed only to supermarkets and convenience stores in New York, LaSalle ice cream distribution expansion is slated to place LaSalle's 17 ice cream flavors in groceries and c-stores throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania and the Great Chicago market early this summer. Additional expansion is planned to make LaSalle ice creams available to consumers in Connecticut, Ohio, Maryland, [image-nocss] Virginia, North and South Carolina before the end of the third quarter.

LaSalle Brand's all-natural ice creams have built success with New York consumers by providing a high-quality taste experience at a price that is well below competing brands such as Haagen-Dazs and Ben & Jerry's, the company said.

In addition to its packaged products, LaSalle is also introducing a line of super-premium ice cream novelty products. The 4-oz. novelties will follow the LaSalle taste/value formula. The price to the consumer is expected to be 99 cents. Flavors include Cookies & Cream, Strawberry Shortcake and Orange Sorbet/Vanilla.

New York City-based LaSalle Brands makes ice cream flavors, gelato and fruit sorbets, as well as fine imported cookies and its own LaSalle brand of coffee.
