M&M's Returning to Super Bowl

New commercial to debut during game's first quarter

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. -- Mars Chocolate North America has announced that the M&M's brand will feature a new 30-second commercial during the first quarter of Super Bowl XLVI on February 5, 2012. This will mark the second trip to the Super Bowl for the colorful chocolate candy brand.

M&M's will step into a starting role in Super Bowl XLVI instead of Snickers brand, which has seen back-to-back success through the "You're Not You When You're Hungry" campaign, the company said.

"We're very excited to have M&M's featured during one of the world's largest parties," said Debra A. Sandler, Chief Consumer Officer, Mars Chocolate North America. "Snickers will prove to be a tough act to follow, but we're confident our M&M's spot will have everyone talking on the morning of February 6."

M&M'S will announce additional details about their Super Bowl ad in January 2012, it said.
