Gillett Promoted at Altadis USA

Named VP of national chain accounts

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Brion Gillett has been promoted from national chain account manager at cigar maker Altadis USA Inc., a position he held since 1994, to vice president of national chain accounts.

Altadis USA's senior vice president for sales and marketing, James Colucci, to whom Gillett will report, made the announcement yesterday.

All national chain account managers and regional chain account managers will report to Gillett.

He is currently a member of the National Association of Convenience Stores ([image-nocss] NACS) Supplier Board and chairman of the NACSPAC political action committee.

Prior to joining Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Altadis USA (then Consolidated Cigar Corp.) in 1991, Gillett served as national account executive for Core-Mark Distributors. He began his career at the company owned by his family, Gillett Bros., a Newport, Ky.-based candy and tobacco distributor which was eventually sold to Core-Mark.
