Swisher Enters Into DipTops Deal

Also rolls out two new products

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Smokeless tobacco company Swisher International Inc. has made it easier for on-the-go snuff users. Drawing from the convenience of cupholders, the company has entered into a deal with DipTops LLC to purchase a large quantity of DipTops with Swisher International's smokeless logo.

DipTops, located in Livermore, Calif., produces a patented personal spittoon, a snuff disposal system that snaps on to any 8-oz., 12-oz. or 16-oz. beverage can , making it easier to spit into the can, which has been transformed into a spill-resistant personal spittoon.

Swisher International [image-nocss] will distribute the DipTops at sporting events and potentially will roll into the retail channel, according to DipTops president Brian Goodell.

"This promotion will help inform consumers about Swisher's new products and will help increase brand recognition and drive consumer loyalty," Goodell, who founded his business in 2004, told CSP Daily News.

He added, "Our product is now in over a dozen major retail chains and is carried by almost 100 distributors in the U.S. and Canada. With OTP [other tobacco products] a growing category in convenience stores, we see this as an ideal accessory."

Separately, Jacksonville, Fla.-based Swisher has introduced Goodies Cigarillos and Goodies Palmas. Each is made with an properly aged, authentic Connecticut shade wrapper. They are available in Vanilla and Natural, in packs and 25-count impulse displays.
