4 General Sessions Will Set a Tone for the Coming Year

CHICAGO — The 2021 NACS Show will include four general sessions, focusing on topics as varied as coaching, motivation and the future of convenience retailing. Here’s a look at each of the sessions.

Jennifer Powers

3:35 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5

Coach, speaker and best-selling author Jennifer Powers has spent the past 15 years coaching hundreds of professionals. Based on the teachings and strategies found in her books, Powers uses wit, humor and audience interaction to teach participants how to better handle change and discover ways to help themselves (and others) be better.

Kendal Netmaker

10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6

Kendal Netmaker is an award-winning entrepreneur, author and speaker who is on a mission to empower and motivate people through his message: Regardless of where you come from and what challenges you face, you have the power to embrace resiliency and enact change.

Convenience Roundtable

10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 7

What will the future of convenience look like? NACS President and CEO Henry Armour, outgoing NACS Chairman Kevin Smartt and incoming Chairman Jared Scheeler will share their ideas and discuss what retailers can do now to define a path for the industry.

Ideas 2 Go and Panel Discussion

8:15 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8

The NACS Ideas 2 Go program will showcases industry leaders who are setting the pace by staying ahead of the everchanging consumer, technology and retail landscape. This year’s program will feature five companies that are redefining convenience around energy, foodservice, community and culture.
