CSP Honored by ASBPE

Nominates magazine for editorial awards in three categories

OAK BROOK, Ill. -- Hard news. Data. Executive profile. CSP magazine was named a finalist in three categories for this year's ASBPE awards covering the heartstone of its core purpose.

The American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) will select the winners next month. CSP Managing Editor Dan Blunk was nominated for two stories: Individual Profile for his in-depth executive intimate in the November issue of CSP on Wawa leader Dick Wood, who was honored as the magazine's Retailer of the Year.

Blunk was also named finalist for News Analysis for his September report called Trouble on a Tomato, which examined how Sheetz Inc. was responding to a salmonella outbreak.

The magazine was also nominated for a national award for Information Graphics for last year's Category Management Handbook, which recently was a finalist for the prestigious Neal Awards.

The awards are a recognition that we continue to work hard to bring our industry the content they need to help their businesses grow in an increasingly competitive environment, said Paul Reuter, CSP Information Group Inc. president and editorial director Paul Reuter.

Our goal every day is to bring compelling data, news and solutions that help the thousands of people who make up the convenience and petroleum channel. In that way, we are flattered by ASBPE's recognition, Reuter said.

Since 2000, CSP has captured 19 regional and national editorial awards.
