Love’s Times Two

Travel-center chain opens new stores in Iowa and Idaho

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Love’s Travel Stops opened two new locations Thursday, one in Davenport, Iowa, at Interstate 80, Exit 292, and a second in Idaho Falls, Idaho, at Interstate 15, Exit 113.

Love’s in Davenport features an Arby’s restaurant and 80 truck parking spaces. Love’s in Idaho Falls features a McDonald’s restaurant and 70 truck parking spaces.

Both new locations will serve professional drivers with bulk DEF at all diesel lanes, on-site Love’s Truck Tire Care centers, five showers, expanded fountain drink selection and more. Drivers will receive double “I Love Rewards” loyalty points on fuel purchases at the new locations through Jan. 31, 2013.

Love’s new locations were built from the ground up to provide new stops on the road and were strategically selected based on drivers’ needs, according to the company.

The two new Love’s locations mark the final two openings of 2012, bringing the grand total to 12 new travel stops for the year.

“We are proud to call 12 new communities home to Love’s Travel Stops,” said Greg Love, president of Love’s Development Cos. “We are constantly seeking the best areas to build locations, and we look forward to continued expansion in 2013 to meet our customers’ needs.”

Founded in 1964 by Tom Love, Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores is based in Oklahoma City and remains entirely family-owned and -operated. With more than 290 locations and 150 Love’s Truck Tire Care centers in 39 states, Love’s approximate growth rate is 20 stores per year.
