Kosel specializes in services to c-store retailers

WASHINGTON -- The Murphy Group LLC has added Howard Kosel to its staff as a principal and senior consultant responsible for heading up the firm's foodservice practice.

We look at foodservice as one of the fastest growing opportunities for our clients and having the right resources in place will provide measurable value to our customer's business said Jeff Murphy, the firm's managing director and founder.

Kosel specializes in providing intelligence, development and implementation services to food manufacturers, chain operators [image-nocss] and convenience store retailers. He brings more than 18 years of diverse experience in the development of foodservice concepts, operations analysis, design and merchandising expertise. His foodservice consulting experience includes major engagements with Burger King, Nestl a, Sodexho, Einstein Brothers, Ranch*1, The Bronx Zoo, Esso, Mobil Oil and Unilever.

Recently, Kosel has been working with food and equipment manufacturers to develop new technologies that advance the quality and speed in which food and beverages can be delivered.

Prior to joining TMG, Kosel was a partner at Arthur D. Little, where he led teams of scientists and engineers in developing new foods, beverages and appliances. He has also held an executive position with a foodservice design agency and consulting firm, and worked for an international foodservice consultant as a kitchen designer and operations analyst.
