Pester Purchases Four C-Stores in Northern New Mexico

Locations previously owned by State Oil

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. -- Pester Marketing Co. (d.b.a. Alta Convenience) has announced its recent acquisition of four Conoco-branded convenience stores located in northern New Mexico, previously owned by State Oil Co. Inc., in New Mexico.

With three stores in Raton, N.M., and one store in Springer, N.M., this latest deal brings the total number of convenience stores owned by Pester Marketing to 57 and extends the company's retail presence across Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska and New Mexico.

"Pester Marketing's wholesale fuel subsidiary, Alta Fuels has been supplying gas and diesel to these stores for the past three years and this current c-store acquisition fits very well with our plans for expansion in northern New Mexico," said Rich Spresser, president and CEO.

"We are pleased to be a part of the Raton and Springer communities and look forward to continuing to provide high quality Conoco-branded gasoline and a wide variety of groceries, snacks, beverages, tobacco products, lottery tickets and other convenience items," he said.

Pester Marketing is a privately owned company in business for more than 50 years with nearly 60 stores located in four states.

In addition to the retail side of the business, Pester Marketing's wholesale subsidiary, Alta Fuels, located in Alamosa, Colo., is a major supplier of biofuels, both E85 and biodiesel. Alta Fuels also carries a full line of ExxonMobil lubricants and serves customers in Colorado and New Mexico.
