Convenience-store chain RaceTrac will open its first store in the state of Indiana in mid-December—and it won’t be its last in the area. The store is located off Interstate 465 in Indianapolis at 7612 Pendleton Pike and will serve motorists, as well as small- to mid-size fleet drivers and construction vehicles with an expanded diesel offering.

A second Indiana RaceTrac is also expected to open in late spring, near I-70 and West Morris Street, RaceTrac said.

“We have put a great deal of thought and research into the selection of this new location, based on its proximity to the Indianapolis metro area,” said Justen Giambalvo, vice president of construction, engineering and special projects at RaceTrac. “As we expand our locations in the state of Indiana, we hope to meet the demand for clean and convenient facilities for fleet drivers and commuters alike as they fuel up and get whatever they need to get them going.”

On-the-go food and beverage offerings at the new store include:

  • Grab-and-go pizza and sandwiches.
  • Whole and cut fruit and salads.
  • Swirl World frozen treat station with a variety of frozen yogurts, sorbets and toppings.
  • Six blends of freshly ground and brewed “Crazy Good Coffee,” with creamers, sweeteners and toppings.
  • Roller grill favorites like Nathan’s hotdogs and Tornados.

Guests can also expect a clean, well-lit parking lot and a chance to earn awards through the RaceTrac Rewards program and mobile app, the Atlanta-based chain said.

The new location will bring about 40 new jobs to the community.

  • RaceTrac is No. 15 on CSP’s 2023 Top 202 ranking of convenience store chains by store count.

RaceTrac has more than 570 locations in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas and Tennessee. In addition to Indiana, it is also looking at new markets Ohio and South Carolina.
