Foodservice Exec to Launch BrandedCups.com

Business model allows for producing cups in smaller quantities

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Answering the call of small foodservice operators for custom printed disposable cups with reasonable minimum quantities, BrandedCups.com is being launched by Mike Allen, formerly of International Paper's Foodservice business.

The website, www.brandedcups.com,will debut Jan. 1, 2006.

Allen, a 22-year International Paper marketing executive, has taken his experiences in dealing with independent foodservice operators in the specialty coffee, convenience store, catering and [image-nocss] concessions categories and has developed a business model that allows for the manufacture of custom-printed disposable cups in much smaller than normal quantities and in a much faster than normal timeframe, he said.

A universal request by independent foodservice entrepreneur's was for the ability to order customer printed cups in quantities far less than the typical 50,000 or 100,000 units-per size offered today, said Allen.

BrandedCups.com has developed a model to reduce current industry minimums by as much as 95% and deliver custom-printed cups in quantities as small as 5,000 per size. It also offers matching lids, insulating sleeves and jackets and other beverage accessories to accompany cup orders.

All products are manufactured and shipped directly to the customer's location via UPS or Fed Ex Ground, typically within five weeks of the order placement.
