Kangaroo Express Heats Up School Spirit

Collegiate coffee mugs available for Tar Heel, Wolfpack, Blue Devil fans

CARY, N.C.-- The Pantry Inc. said that collegiate coffee mugs are available at Kangaroo Express stores--fans can purchase a mug of Bean Street Coffee marked with school pride. Aligned with the start of college basketball's interconference games, the 16-ounce reusable coffee mugs with each university's logo are available, while supplies last, at most Kangaroo Express locations for $2.99, refillable with Bean Street Coffee and other hot beverages for 99 cents.

All Roo Mugs, including collegiate mugs, give customers access to exclusive Roo Club text message deals, including free coffee refill days and buy one, get one free offers. They can sign up by texting "ROOCLUB" to "67777."

"The Roo Club allows our loyal customers to receive great deals on our most popular items, such as Bean Street Coffee," said John Fisher, senior vice president of marketing at Kangaroo Express. "Now with the collegiate mugs, members can get those same deals while proudly displaying loyalty for their favorite team."

Fans from the University of North Carolina, North Carolina State University and Duke University can purchase their mugs of piping hot school pride across the state of North Carolina.

Kangaroo Express is an official sponsor of University of North Carolina, North Carolina State and Duke basketball. Throughout basketball season, fans can look for fun offers and participation from Kangaroo Express during the games.

The collegiate mugs, and corresponding Roo Club, are part of Kangaroo Express' "Fresh Initiative" to serve customers its improved, great-tasting Bean Street Coffee and introduce new fresh food options with a fast, friendly and clean shopping experience.

Additional collegiate mugs are available in other corresponding regions.
