Pilot Flying J Launches New Breakfast, Soup Bars

Foodservice team enhances offering, range of choices

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- In an enhancement to its menu of food options, Pilot Flying J is rolling out a new breakfast bar featuring homestyle choices such as biscuits and sausage gravy and southwest egg scramble and a new hot soup bar serving offerings such as chicken noodle soup and chili.

"Our hot breakfast and soup bars offer a selection of delicious, hearty meals," said Jimmy Haslam, chairman for Pilot Flying J. "Our team worked diligently to provide a range of choices to suit all tastes--from low-fat, low-sodium oatmeal or low-fat chicken noodle soup for the health-conscious diner to a rich broccoli cheese soup for when you're craving a bowl of satisfying comfort food."

The Pilot Flying J breakfast bar is available from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. daily. It features steel-cut whole-grain oatmeal; cheesy hash brown casserole with sausage; a southwest egg scramble; cinnamon apples; biscuits and gravy featuring freshly cooked ground sausage; and breakfast pizza.

The hot soup bar is available from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily and serves up chicken noodle soup with fresh herbs; beef and bean chili; loaded potato soup; broccoli cheese soup; and macaroni and cheese.

"Our breakfast and soup bars deliver mouthwatering, gratifying hot meals--with the quality and convenience customers expect from us," Haslam said. "We invite you to dine with us today."

Based in Knoxville, Tenn., Pilot Flying J has more than 650 retail locations and is the largest operator of travel centers and travel plazas in North America. The Pilot Flying J network provides customers with access to  more than 60,000 parking spaces for trucks, more than 4,400 showers and more than 4,000 diesel lanes, of which more than 2,600 offer diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) at the pump.
