YORK, Pa. -- Rutter's Farm Stores has rolled out a new coffee menu featuring espresso drinks, frappes, iced lattes and fruit smoothies.
So far, Rutter's has added the coffee bar to the menu at two of its 57 stores; it will expand the program to more stores by year's end, it said.
The new espresso equipment freshly grinds and freshly brews each cup to order. The program also features premium espresso beans and "superior" flavorings, the chain said.
Each hot, iced or frozen espresso drink is freshly ground and brewed, and available in both regular and decaffeinated espresso beans. Customers can choose from 1% or whole milk. The beverage is completed by the customer's choice of eight different syrups: french vanilla, caramel, hazelnut, toasted marshmallow, caramel apple, raspberry, sugar-free vanilla and sugar-free caramel.
There are also three topping choices: whipped cream, cocoa and cinnamon, and customers can choose to have dark chocolate, white chocolate or caramel sauce drizzled on top or added to the drink itself.
The hot coffee drinks are available in three sizes, the cold available in two sizes. Both hot and cold drinks can be ordered using the store's kiosk ordering system and are prepared by a trained barista.
The new fruit smoothies come in two sizes and four flavors: strawberry, strawberry-banana, wild berry and mango.
Rutter's Farm Stores is a third-generation, family-owned business operating in Central Pennsylvania.
