Sweet Home FARE

FARE announces 2012 dates, return to Chicago

OAK BROOK, Ill. -- Chicago: the honorary home of hot dogs, Harry Caray and FARE. The fifth annual Foodservice at Retail Exchange (FARE) will be held June 25-27 at the Renaissance Schaumburg, just outside of the Windy City. Further details and registration will be available soon at www.foodserviceatretail.com.

"While we had a great time in Arizona for FARE 2011, we're very excited to bring the conference back to Chicago next year," said Ted Asprooth, publisher of Fare magazine. "The Midwest in many ways is a hub for the foodservice-at-retail industry, with a number of leading companies calling it home. We're pleased to bring FARE to so many people's backyard."

FARE is the only event of its kind that brings together the dynamic, fast-growing foodservice-at-retail industry. Operators and suppliers gather to discuss the changes, challenges and choices facing foodservice across retail channels. FARE attendees include foodservice operators in grocery, convenience, drug/mass, recreation, college and university and health care. This cross-channel audience makes FARE a unique venue for idea exchange.

"Foodservice at retail is the fastest-growing segment of the industry," said Abbie Westra, executive editor of Fare magazine. "These operators work to deliver fresh, quality and convenient meal options to increasingly time-strapped consumers. To see them learning and networking at FARE reflects the impact of this segment on the traditional foodservice and retail industries."

The two-day event includes nearly 10 hours of education and unique networking opportunities, such as the annual FARE After-Dark Lounge. The Food Pavilion allows operators to see the latest food, equipment and beverage products and meet with suppliers to find solutions for their businesses. Last year's FARE conference saw a sold-out Food Pavilion and 400 professionals bringing home actionable ideas for their operations.

Registration and agenda details are coming soon. Stay tuned for more information on FARE 2012 at www.foodserviceatretail.com.
