BROOMALL, Pa. – Drive-thru convenience-store chain Swiss Farms is expanding its line of prepared meals, Fresh Solutions, to include more signature, chef-created options. Swiss Farms has brought on Justin Vignola to act as director of fresh food/new product development.
The newest entrees are part of the c-store’s Modern Palate range of meals. Through Nov. 11, Modern Palate options will be available for an introductory price of $7.99, featuring selections such as blackened chicken, chicken Parmesan, meatloaf, grilled flatiron steak and pulled pork, each paired with two side items. Modern Palate meals are positioned as healthful options, with each entree having 600 calories or fewer.
Beyond Modern Palate, the rest of the Fresh Solutions lineup includes favorites such as Swiss Signature Deli salads, dips, hoagies and soups.
Vignola will continue to develop and refine selections for Fresh Solutions and Modern Palate in his newly created position, functioning as the decision maker for purchasing. His role as “in-house chef” will also call for kitchen tests of various fare – most recently, a housemade sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. According to a company release, Vignola will prioritize “lifestyle-focused, good-for-you food choices.”
“We are very excited to welcome Justin to the Swiss Farms family,” said Scott Simon, CEO of Swiss Farms. “This is another in a series of steps to move our stores in a new direction and we think Justin is instrumental in helping to forge this fresh-food journey forward.”
Swiss Farms operates 13 drive-thru market locations throughout Delaware and Chester counties in Pennsyvlania. Groceries and fresh meals can be ordered via drive-thru or in advance at SwissFarms.com or via mobile app.
