Additional stores will follow suit in the future, the Rockland, Mass.-based company said.
These newly remodeled stores will now offer customers fresh food items such as the TD's Deli Express [image-nocss] lines of premium sandwiches, wraps and freshly made salads. They will continue to provide a variety of snacks and beverages as well as premium Green Mountain coffee and fountain and frozen drinks from Cool Adventures beverage centers.
The stores will also continue to offer Blockbuster Express self-service DVD-rental kiosks.
"We are not only reinvesting in our stores; we are also reinvesting in our neighborhoods," said Peter Tedeschi, president and chief executive officer of Tedeschi Food Shops. "Tedeschi Food Shops is proud to continue to serve the people in our communities. We hope that the changes we are implementing will provide a more convenient, satisfying shopping experience."
Looking forward, Tedeschi Food Shops said that it plans to continue to reinvest in store remodels and new store locations while keeping their focus on healthy snack alternatives, freshly prepared food and innovative service offerings.
