Two More Chester's for Love's

Travel-center chain adds chicken QSRs

BENSON, Ariz. -- Love’s Travel Stops and Country Stores recently opened two more Chester's International LLC chicken restaurants. Both locations can be found off of Interstate 10: one at exit 302 in Benson, Ariz., and the other off exit 130 in Cottondale, Fla. Love's has opened seven Chester's locations this year.

Love's was Chester's first franchisee and today is the largest franchise operator in the system with approximately 50 Chester's and Chester Fried locations in travel stops across the United States.

"We are excited to catapult the brand forward through growth with Love's Travel Stops and Country Stores," said James Venable, director of operations at Chester's International. "Their motto of Clean Places, Friendly Faces partnered with Chester's Fresh Fried Chicken makes it a welcome stop on the freeway system."

These new locations will cater to their customers by offering free Internet access, dine-in seating, a game room, as well as various foodservice options. The new Chester's locations will offer its customers take-out, dine-in and catering options

Founded in 1964 by Tom Love, Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores is based in Oklahoma City and remains entirely family owned and operated. With more than 275 locations and 100 tire care centers in 39 states, Love's approximate growth rate is 20 stores per year.

Birmingham, Ala.-based Chester's started in 1952 by opening the Hol-In-One Donut business, which later started frying chicken, and eventually became a franchise in 2002.
