Little General opens four Chester's chicken outlets in Mountain State

BECKLEY, W.Va. -- Little General convenience stores in Alderson, Pinch, Omar and Barboursville in southern West Virginia have opened Chester's Chicken restaurants. All four locations off the fried chicken concept's full menu.

"We chose Chester's because of the taste and quality of their chicken, as well as the value it gives our customers," said Brian Wangh, director of retail with Little General.

"Customers love the great value Chester's brought to the Barbousville area. Little General's opening of four locations, proves that Chester's is a program that works," said Brenda Ward, area developer with Chester's.

Birmingham, Ala.-based Chester's International LLC is a leader of quick serve restaurant (QSR) concepts with more than 2,000 Chester Fried licensed and Chester's franchised locations. Along with its menu, it offers flexible size and store layout options, training and support. Chester's uses only fresh chicken that is specially marinated and double-breaded using a proprietary family recipe and offers bone-in, tenders and potato wedges as well as sandwiches, wraps, salads, breakfast and sides.

Beckley, W.Va.-based Little General Store is chain with approximately 100 stores in West Virginia, Virginia and Ohio. Along with Chester's, the company is also a franchisee for Subway, Godfather's Pizza, Sam's Hot Dog Stands, Burger King, Arby's, Taco Bells, Steak Escapes, Custard Stand Hot Dogs and the 79er Restaurant.
