Gas Nearly Ready at Stewart's Port Ewen, N.Y., Store

Retailer also breaks ground for Gansevoort, N.Y., shop
PORT EWEN, N.Y. -- While orange sherbet cones are undoubtedly available at the Port Ewen, N.Y., Stewart's Shop's ice cream counter, the most prominent orange conesthose blocking off the under-construction gasoline island, are about to be removed. Installation of the gasoline dispensers at Stewart's Shop's new retail outlet in Port Ewen is nearing completion, the company said.

The shop will soon offer regular, plus and super grades of gasoline, it added.

Meanwhile, Stewart's Shops recently broke ground on a new shop in Gansevoort, N.Y. The new shop is being constructed [image-nocss] directly behind the retailer's current location. The new shop will feature Stewart's signature items including coffee, milk, and ice cream. It will also offer a full line of groceries and food-to-go items.

The new shop is scheduled to open in October, according to the company. Installation of the gasoline dispensers will take place later this fall, it added.

Saratoga Springs, N.Y.-based Stewart's Shops operates 327 dairy and convenience stores, including 270 with gasoline, in upstate New York and southern Vermont.
